For more than twenty five years, the Lighthouse Foundation has been helping homeless young people rebuild their lives and today Alleasing is pleased to announce that it has signed on to support the not-for-profit organisation.

Robert Spano, Alleasing’s Chief Executive Officer said:  “Alleasing is delighted to be involved with the Lighthouse Foundation.”

“The Foundation has developed a highly successful model that breaks the chronic cycle of homelessness for more than eight out of ten young people.

“To date, the program has helped more than 750 young homeless Australians lead autonomous, fulfilling lives as it has grown from one home in 1991 to seven homes today.

“We look forward to working with the Lighthouse team as they help to re-build the lives of our youth.”

A recent independent social return on investment study* found that the Lighthouse model of care provided more than $12 of social value for every dollar spent, making it one of the most cost-effective social programs anywhere in the world.

“We are very fortunate to have formed a partnership with Alleasing,” said Kane Bowden, CEO of Lighthouse Foundation.

“We are enormously grateful for the generous financial support they have provided to Lighthouse, which will support our goal of ending youth homelessness in Australia.

“Family breakdown, and the trauma caused by this, is why children and young people become homeless. With Alleasing’s support, Lighthouse can extend its work with some of the community’s most vulnerable, to help them to recover from their trauma to take their rightful place in the community.”

Alleasing will support the Lighthouse Foundation via a monetary contribution and a hands on approach to supporting the youth as they re-build their lives.
